“New Roots – Future Choices” is a tv documentary that discusses climate emergency, which is a global issue, but in a very practical and purposeful way. The film presents planted trees as an initiative to fight global warming and our society’s dependence on fossil fuels. Besides accelerating carbon capture cycles and storage, utilizing degraded areas to restore native forests, planted trees are also a powerful renewable source of raw materials, with countless applications in modern industry. Today, Brazil is the world’s top cellulose exporter and is currently heavily investing in cutting edge technology to propose solutions that may contribute to real sustainable development. The documentary presents inspiring stories and puts trees as the central figures of what is already being called a “Green Revolution”. (1×47′)
