Designed to be filmed over the next few years—having started in the first half of 2025—this ambitious project follows a pioneering initiative in the countryside of Minas Gerais: the transformation of a legacy agribusiness land into a cooperative community, owned and managed by an investment fund and the MST (Landless Workers’ Movement).
The film shows the slow metamorphosis of the local geography, with its crops, harvests, herds, and countless activities, while discussing the real challenge imposed on the participants: an inner change, moving from a competitive and individualistic way of being in the world to a collaborative and cooperative one, without losing their identities in the process. Surrounded by conservative agribusiness, these new ideas involving a different type of development are bound to face numerous barriers over the next months, all closely followed by our crew.
