To Enjoy Reading

(2017)

“To Enjoy Reading” is a film that discusses the importance of reading and its influence in creating and nurturing a inner world of imagination in the first years of a child’s life. The documentary interviews several experts in child behaviour, doctors, clowns, poets and writers. It also follows carefully chosen characters (between the ages of 5 and 9) in different cities around Brazil. In the studio, the film recreates a magical scenario and invites children to play freely. Using a special technique called “interrotron”, these children were interviewed totally alone in the set, creating a very powerful and emotional environment for them to express themselves. The film was exhibited in some theatres in São Paulo and on GNT and Telecine Channels (Globosat Channels). In Youtube, it had almost 400.000 views.
