Faith on Stilts

A short-film that tells the story of Talita, a young girl from one of the biggest and poorest slums in Brazil, called the Vila Gilda Dam, in Santos. The whole slum was built on poles and over sea water, exposed to the power of the tides. Talita decides, with the help of her friends, to make a documentary about the place where she was born and lives. Best Documentary and People’s Choice Awards at 2009 Santos Short Film Festival. The film was also exhibited at Rio+20, UN’s meeting for sustainable development, in Rio de Janeiro, in 2012. (1×15′)
