Full-length Documentary about Brazil`s Amazon region that discusses in depth its present situation. Interviews with specialists and scientists from Brazil and abroad, and celebrities like Hollywood director James Cameron and USA`s ex-vice-president Al Gore also share their views on many related issues. The film also follows different characters in several locations around the Amazon region: Indians, miners, land and cattle owners, archaeologists, industry workers, farmers, policemen and others. Through this huge mosaic of stories, the film forms a vivid picture that describes the chaotic process of land occupation and development of its cities, industry and social life. The documentary debuted during Rio+2o, UN`s meeting for sustainable development, in Rio de Janeiro, in 2012. It was exhibited in São Paulo’s and Rio de Janeiro’s theatres and broadcasted by Discovery Channel Latin America and TV Brazil (Brazilian public channel). In 2013 it was selected for the 37th International São Paulo Film Festival. In 2014 it won the Best Documentary Prize, at the 3rd Ecofalante Environmental Film Festival and was showcased in the Netflix platform.(1×70′ & 1×52′)
