“Stolen Lives – Isabella’s saga” is an investigative doc series that dives deep into the cruel underworld of international child trafficking. Due to its intrinsic difficulties it took almost seven years to be done. The series tells the story of Isabella dos Santos who was stolen from her mom when she was only one month old, in 1987. She was taken to France and delivered to a strange couple who wanted to adopt her under the name of Charlotte. During her adolescence she discovers part of her past story and begins a journey that would take her to Brazil and to her origins. Isabella’s determination and courage unveil an international web of child traffickers working between Brazil and Europe, responsible for smuggling hundreds of children during the 80’s and 90’s. The series retraces Isabella’s investigative steps, meeting her enemies, her true family, and other victims of this horrible crime with similar shocking dramatic stories.
